Artist's Description
Thank you CBS Sunday Morning for airing this artwork as the finale for John Dickerson's piece with Stephen Colbert on June 27, 2021, and again as the finale to Serena Altschul's piece with Ryan Uzilevsky, of Light Harvest Studio, about their epic creations projected upon very unique canvases on Jan. 30, 2022.
It is a digital radial composition representing the concept of a nuclear reaction, or a sun. Only one of many possible interpretations.
It is thought there could be great artificial worlds encased in hollow spheres (known as Dyson Spheres) with a star at the center. Here we named it Alectrona (also known as Electryone or Electryo) the greek goddess of the sun.
