The larger of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul, it lies on the banks of the Mississippi River and has a rich history and culture and is known for some of the most influential artists of our time, such as Bob Dylan and Prince. The name Minneapolis is derived from the combination of the words mni, a Dakota Sioux word for water, and polis, the Greek word for city.
